WALTERs BIRTHDAYs Latest CD

Last night Craig called...he needed a band on Saturday, January 7th...could WALTER's BIRTHDAY be in Spanaway at UNCLE SAM's American Bar and GRILL at 8:30 pm to play? Yep! Sure thing Craig.... Steve called all the guys. Yep, they were all available and ready...cool. SCOTT ERCOLIANI/drummer for WALTER's BIRTHDAY and talented owner of REAL TO REEL MEDIA, go HERE created some beautiful posters for Craig and UNCLE SAM's to post. Steve will deliver them, and everyone's all set. This will be lots of fun.

You all know the bluzzzz queen of the Pacific Northwest SHELLY ELY has a fantastic jam goin'on there every Sunday night at UNCLE SAM's with her great crew. It's really cool, and JERRY MILLER performs there every Thursday evening with his group too too, THE MARTIN SALINAS BAND with MARTIN SALINAS/guitar/vocals, STEVE HICKS/drums, and my Steve BARTLETT ON BASS has played there many times too, and there's even more.... music every night of the week.... OK...What's up 'round here music-wise lately? huh? Well first, have you heard all that CLATTER AND DIN up north in down town Seattle? Since MARTIN SALINAS/guitar/vocals is returning to San Diego, California this month, starts real work on December 28th, STEVE HICKS/drums thought it would be wonderful and arranged to have a CD highlighting Martin/guitar, of course, with Steve BARTLETT ON BASS and our neighbor, STEVE HICKS doin' drums, The recording was created last week end in Seattle. Steve reports all the guys had a great time and CLATTER AND DIN is top of the line. A really cool place to do a recording and there were lots of promises of getting some fun studio work up there too. The guys had a exciting time as I said before, and they noticed that BUMP KITCHEN and THE RANDY OXFORD BAND were both performing in Seattle at THE HIGHWAY 99 BLUES CLUB. Big news from recording artist, and one of WALTER's BIRTHDAY's talented singer/song writers JON BARONI/keys/harp/vocal. Last month KEVIN CHRISTENSEN/drums had his one and only 47th birthday party at THE STONEGATE in Tacoma. Well, we've known Kevin, when they both played with AL EARICK/guitar/vocals and SHERYL CLARK/sax in the band ROAD DAWGS along time ago and there were so many old friends there, Steve had a great time. Thanks Kevin. Just some of the folks that Steve mentioned to me were...AL EARICK/guitar/vocals, who forgot his guitar , but his wife Donna looked great. Cool Donna. JEFF WALLACE/keys was there and CAROL ROSE/ vocals. 'Hi' to you guys. Steve enjoyed playing several times with JERRY MILLER/guitar and also TIM HALL/guitar. Kevin always knew how to put on a party and there lots of cool people there.

Steve went up north of Everett to see his family for a Christmas get-together last week end too. He gave several of his family members copies of the new WALTER's BIRTHDAY CD. One will be sent down to Texas for his younger brother, country singer/song writer RUSSELL BARTLETT. Check brother Russ out HERE. And buy his CDs on CDBaby HERE OK.

OK...Today's Thursday, November 17th ...and I haven't posted for awhile....what's up anyway?
Steve and I've been really busy getting the farm ready for winter etc....you understand what I mean....there's sheep to shear, filling our barn with hay, chicken and rabbit feed...and chopping and stacking wood for our wood stove, then there's harvesting our garden goodies and putting them up for winter too. yum..
Steve'll be rehearsing tonight with the band, WALTER's BIRTHDAY. That's JON BARONI/keys/harp/vocals, SCOTT ERCOLIANI/drums, TOD LEMKUHL/guitar/vocals, with st_robert as sound engineer. Go HERE and HERE.
He's been jammin' with STEVE HICKS/drummer HERE, our neighbor and owner of HOBBY STREET STUDIOS in Yelm, TOD LEMKUHL/guitar/vocals of WALTER's BIRTHDAY, and, MARTIN SALINAS/guitar/vocals of THE MARTIN SALINAS BAND and former owner of LIQUID SOUL COFFEE ROASTERS in McKenna.
TERESA OAKMAN/vocals and the awesome YASMINE ARIEL/vocals HERE are wonderful new for me voices that I've [T. Jan] really enjoyed.
This Saturday night Steve has been invited to Kevin's birthday bash by KEVIN CHRISTENSEN/drums at THE STONEGATE in Tacoma. With TIM HALL/guitar/vocals and JERRY MILLER/guitar/vocals invited too I bet there'll be lots of good music and Steve'll have a real awesome time. OK, OK,.....we're ALL ready for this....The WALTER's BIRTHDAY CD RELEASE PARTY on Friday, August 26th, at THE SPIRAL CAFE ARTS and WELLNESS CENTER in Yelm.

This new CD is awesome and a keeper, it's called just 'WALTER's BIRTHDAY' and that says it ALL....Cool, all music especially written by these very talented musicans.. AND, the CD will be available, of course, at this very special event. So, none of us want to miss this fun night of live music in Yelm. st_robert will be the sound engineer for the night and recording the evening too. So, come early so you won't miss a thing.

It all begins at 8:30 with a special guest performer...to warm us all up and get our dancing feet wet...THEN...at 9 pm,...the WALTER's BIRTHDAY band will begin and perform all of the new CD tunes along with all our favorite WALTER's BIRTHDAY tunes until 12 midnight. There's only a $10.00 cover for this awesome night.

Here it is...Ready? Me too. From Shell.. "Laurie Johnson kicking ass tonight at Uncle Sam's.. As always.. Plus Jho, Salmon Dave Cox, a naked drummer and Mr. Willit.? Hey, cool Shell...and look.... DYLAN LANNY ENGLAND /drums will be naked! That's new.. WOW! Bet, lottsa ladies show up tonight at UNCLE SAMs. It'll be a good show, so get at Uncle Sam's early. Plus...THREE [3] more great musicians too! WOW...'when it rains it pours...huh, Shelly'. So, that's the fantastic JHO BLENIS/guitar AND Salmon DAVE COX/keys? [please forgive me Dave, we've never met...my name is Jan and my hubby plays a fine bass guitar...and, I write about it. AND, other cool music stuff too]. OK,... STEVE BARTLETT/BARTLETT ON BASS..This past week, Steve played at Liquid Soul Coffee Roaster's In McKenna. The band WALTERs BIRTHDAY played and he's their awesome bass guy. Cool Steve. It was a great turn out, lots of nice new faces showed up plus old friends and Steve really enjoyed it.
He will again be meeting with guitar/bass instructer MIKE KARNES tomorrow. Mike will be teaching the guitar stuff and my Steve will do the bass instruction for some very lucky kids on March 5th. That's at the KIDS MUSICAL WORKSHOP, that Mike and Steve have been getting ready for. Also, a very mysterious world class vocalist will be doing their thing at this awesome event. [ YAY! I know who, HINT: Starts with...just kidding I won't tell...AND, I don't wanna miss this event]. When I know more, or they let me know more, I'll post it right away...and we'll ALL know. OK? The workshop's location and price have not been given to me yet...what they worried about?...I'd never spoil any of their surprises or anything like that..would I?....come on guys...just a little hint.....pretty please..OK, P-L-E-A-S-E...with sugar on top....pause.... So, lets get started with the local live music report for this week...Of course it's Ms. Bluzzzzzz, Shelly Ely first up today 'cause her jam's tonight...each Sunday night 7 pm at UNCLE SAMs BAR AND GRILL in Spanaway, WA. Shell has nothing posted on FACEBOOK about who'll be there tonight. She did jam with BILLY SHEW this week at DAWSONs last Thursday in Tacoma....OK, then, let's see.hummmmm, I'm on my own... I know,.. it's DYLAN LANNY ENGLAND/drums with TERRY JAE/bass at THE SHELLY ELY JAM....that's cool. And beautiful SHELLY ELY sings really cool, so that's covered too. That leaves the guitar guy...don't worry..there's no problem...Shell gets great guitar guys to play at HER jams...so, it'll be fun. We just have to show up... a really GOOD time is guaranteed....way cool.

LIQUID SOUL COFFEE ROASTERs in McKenna. Last Friday, the 11th, my hubby was a part of a fantastic bunch of musicians called WALTERs BIRTHDAY. This band rocks!...and is so cool. A large crowd showed up for the event...AND, everyone went home smiling...the crowd, the band and MARTIN SALINAS, owner of Liquid Soul. So, they decided to do it again.... they're doin' it again next Friday night, February 18th at 8 pm at LIQUID SOUL COFFEE ROASTERs in McKenna. WALTERs BIRTHDAY February 18th....come on down to join in the fun. Only $5.00 cover...what a deal for GREAT live music. This a cool family place, so bring the whole family...kids welcome. There's a dance floor and beer and wine too, along with fresh roasted coffee, soups, sandwiches, desserts, that kinda thing.

And, I want to especially thank our neighbor STEVE HICKS/drums...who let Steve borrow his van quicky, in kinda an emergency, so Steve could rush to Shelton and, put money down on our new 'old' truck....with a camper just for me [the old hippie, Jan]. Brave Steve then, risked life and limb + hitch-hicked to Shelton the next day and got the truck home...HURRAY! Many friends offered to help us when we were 'carless'...so,many thanks to friends Shelly Ely and Jon Baroni for their offers.
Oh, what kinda truck you ask...Well,it's a really cool 1970 Chevy Camper Special...'350...something'. It's a big white truck.
Phillip, our mechanic, was here yesterday, getting it in top shape...Thanks Phillip.
I'm now learning to get 'into' the truck...the camper is for an advanced 'camper' LOL ....So, no problem...I should get it straight away. SMILE and WAVE. Jan

Remembering Sandy McCaully, Local Live Music For Week 2/7

Yesterday,Saturday, 2/5 Sandy McCaully was remembered at the Ording Eagles. He passed on 1/21/11. There was a jam/wake, Shelly Ely called us and let us know....'A Good-bye Sandy'...I have a photo posted of Sandy McCaully, that I found on FACEBOOK by ERIC ANDERSSON. I remember him fondy...a kind, thoughtful music loving man with a gentle smile. Steve and I went to his home in Ording, Washington and jammed with him and his friends. He called Steve several times to chat music. We first met him at LIQUID SOUL COFFEE ROASTERs. 'Round 2008.

We were unable to go yesterday...no transportation. Shell called an offered to loan Steve her car. Thanks Shelly, sadly.... Steve could not get a ride to Shelly's in Spanaway to pick up her car and get out to Ording. 'We thought of you often yesterday Sandy...will always think of you with love'. Jan and Steve.

Steve's waiting to finish up the WALTER's BIRTHDAY band CD. Steve is finished for now and waiting for the next part....adding vocals to the CD.
Steve got a call from his old friend, MIKE KARNES, up Gig Harbor/Port Orchard way. Mike's organizing a 'workshop' for kids, teaching them guitar etc. Steve will be adding bass guitar instruction and examples for those lucky kids. There will be a drummer, showing his part and a fine vocalist too. Sounds fun. This is in the planning stages, when I know more I'll share.
I'm sure, Steve's getting 'itchy fingers'. He has such a great love for music, people have called him to jam etc. He'll be going out soon to, as he says 'make it happen.' Jan

Steve reported to me lots of friends, jumping happy kids, beautiful dancing girls with Steve Knopp, dancing instructors that knew their stuff, Terra Jean and Archie, Liquid Soul Coffee and Martin Salinas peeking in, Steve, dancing himself with someone who thought he should know how to dance better, being a musician and all...FYI Lady...my hubby dances just wonderful...when I have no legs AND, I'm in his strong arms and I'm dancing again, on this or any dance floor in this or any universe....I just love it. Tuesday night, 12/21 STEVE BARTLETT with multi-talented Guitarist/vocalist TOD LEMKUHL were honored to perform for the YELM FOOD CO-OP Private Holiday Pot-Luck. Reminds me [Jan] of the good ol' 'ME AND MY UNCLE' Gigs of a couple years back. There was lots of good food, music and dancing. Live music makes any event extra special. TAMBORINE BORELLI contacted the band Steve plays in. She's having a BARE BONES BASH on 1/07/11 at her SPIRAL CAFE ART AND WELL BEING STUDIO, downtown Yelm. at 7 pm. It's a fund -raiser with a $5.00 donation for the fund-raiser. No live music this week.

Oh Boy, Oh Boy, Oh Boy. see ya at 7 pm at UNCLE SAM's for THE SHELLY ELY JAM. Save me a chocolate one. OK Shell? YAY. Shelly Ely always has a sweet jam even without cupcakes! But, now how can any of us stay home tonight with a possibility of more sugar than usual? There's just no way, we can stay away. And, the drummer tonight DYLAN LANNY ENGLAND is also a sweety. Now, the LIQUID SOUL COFFEE ROASTER's in McKenna. Spoke to the very talented guitarist/owner of LIQUID SOUL a few days ago...MARTIN SALINAS. Yes, there's still an OPEN MIC each Thursday evening at 6 pm to 9 pm. So, come on down. ANDY CARROLL/ guitar/vocals, was in town last Thursday, and came down to play with his friends at Liquid Soul's OPEN MIC. TOD LEMKUHL/ guitar/vocals, MICHAEL HARRISON/drums, and my Steve BARTLETT ON BASS were some of the fine folks that came down to jam too. My Steve said... Amanda, Peggy and even more were there to perform. It was a fun jam.
Last night, WALTER's BIRTHDAY performed at Liquid Soul from 8 pm to 11 pm. It was an very enjoyable evening. ALINE SCHROADER was there to take pictures of JON BARONI and the guys. A video was created and will be done after Christmas by James. Thanks...I'm looking forward to seeing that.

First things First...I always say....And, It's love EVERYWHERE I look...well, that's just plain cool, now isn't it? Today, Sunday, 12/5... BLUEWAVE's guitar/vocals/composer Eric Delome marries Virginia Cloverdale. My Steve's a guest at the wedding as I write this. Congratulations Eric and Virginia. A few weeks ago, Former BLUE BOTTLE owner, Michelle Jones married Flemming Olsen. Now, that's cool too. Tomorrow is ,12/6, our [Steve and Jan] wedding anniversary, 6 whole years! YAY. And, what really touches my heart and brings a tear to my eye...my dear 34 year old son, Martin, has fallen in love with a lovely, beautiful lady and has told me, he will ask her to marry him on Christmas. I've never seen him So Happy...he's walking on air. Go Martin. I love you both. Mom and Steve.

There's DYLAN LANNY ENGLAND on drums and TERRY JAE on bass. The guitarists' are always a wonderful surprise...many times, it's JHO BLENIS, or JERRY MILLER. Last week, it was GARY CROOKS. Shell has not posted who's there on guitar tonight or I didn't see it posted, don't worry though, Shell alway's gets someone that's awesome. Go to UNCLE SAM's on Sundays for Shelly's gig. Bring your axe, if you want to get up and play too.

YELM SENIOR CENTER offers really cool lunches on week days at for senior's and disabled in the area. At a very reasonable price too. I [Jan] was in the STAR's Program ...Day Care for Adults...offered by the Lacey Senior Center a few years ago, it was lots of fun. Yelm offered that too. A new week.. music news and a change/attitute. Let's see what's happening for live music in the area...shall we?

UNCLE SAM's BAR AND GRILL in Spanaway. Of course, there's THE SHELLY ELY JAM tonight...always Sunday night's around 7 pm. Tonight, Shell has a great guest line up with my old dear friend Sheryl Clark/sax from Steve's 'ROAD DAWG' days, and there's also Laurie Johnson/vocals/harp the fearless leader of the band, 'CARELESS HUNTER' and Gary Crooks/guitar. This will be fantastic night to show up at UNCLE SAM's folks. Wish I could make it! Hope soon. I saw this, this morning on FACEBOOK from Shelly's page. I'm guessing, there will be Shell's regulars, DYLAN LANNY ENGLAND/drums TERRY JAE/bass too tonight, but it has not been confirmed...253-507-7808....if you need more information about this band OK? There are tacos and a grill at UNCLE SAM's. So, why not get a bite to eat.
Last night, Shelly Ely hosted the 2nd Anniversity Customer Appreciation night at UNCLE SAM's. Hope it went well. Nothing's posted that I have found.

Oh my Goodness....Are you seeing a pattern forming here? Well, here I go again...speaking my mind. Let's hope it doesn't get me into too much trouble. Now, this how I feel today...perhaps it will past...hope so, but, maybe not. Here we go...let's explore these ideas for a moment.
Just why am I doing this? huh? Well, yes, I was once a musician, and, I love my husband and see his awesome musical talent...of course, AND, I see all the work it takes him and his friends to be world class musicians...lots of work, lots of time..AND, usually really lousey pay. Many musicians make less than $10.00 a hour...way less, and have a couple of gigs a month, if they're lucky. Most have full-time 'Day Jobs' too...just to survive. When the economy gos down...folks stay at home more. The club owners' feel it and have to make a living too. Live music is usually one of the first things to go, jams, open mics, and karaoke take over where once musicians performed....then, as it gets worse, the clubs' start shutting down, slowly one by one by one.
All this genus, awesome musical talent...just waiting, unused, waiting to uplift and inspire our world, making this a better place. I [Jan] have reported the music news in Western Washington since 2006, posting over 1300 news items. Hoping that BARTLETT ON BASS would help local musicians link up with lovers of music and we'd all benefit and prosper. But, We've been misunderstood, and haven't done a very good job really. Been too polite, too timid and unassuming. Along, with my crumbing physical appearance [Jan] and Steve's innocent eagerness to please...have been seen by others as neediness and unworthiness.....Well, no more....we are now much older and wiser. It was a wonderful journey. Thank you for being a part of our jouney.
I [Jan] will continue loving live music, and continue to post when there's things to report and people who want to read about them. Steve's upcoming CD with the band he's in is exciting! But, to say...no live music to report over and over and over...is just silly, isn't it?

This is a great jam, with a fantastic group of folks hosting the event each Sunday night. There's, of course, Shelly Ely OR MS. BLUZZZZZ herself...And, DYLAN LANNY ENGLAND on drums. There's TERRY JAE/bass and an assortment of world class guitarists....like perhaps JHO BLENIS, JERRY MILLER, or MARTIN SALINAS. Go see who it'll be tonight. It's always fun. I've had reports of good tacos at UNCLE SAM's too. Check this out. AND, Saturday, November 27th , Shelly hosts a Customer Appreciation Night @ Uncle Sam's 2nd Anniversary Party....Oh Boy...that'll be fun.

There's unique delicious sandwiches, soups, beer, wine and fresh roasted coffee. They have a relaxed atmosphere, and an artist's gallery...which I really enjoyed. Music several nights a week. Well, This is what I read on FACEBOOK this morning from RUSS HARRIS. " I know all talented musicians I have as friends on the network and this is an open invite to The Mandolin Cafe 3923 South 12th Street, Tacoma Consider this an open invitation to come and perform beginning tonight and through possibly through next couple of months sunday nights at 7 PM Denny Foreman will facilitate". My Steve BARTLETT ON BASS reports planning to do some recording tomorrow, Monday, 11/22 at 9 am., with another member of this fantastic band he's with. They're starting the second stage of the recording process used in creating a fine musical CD.
Steve went jamming last night at LIQUID SOUL COFFEE ROASTERS. Even though he got there after 9 pm. it was great, he had one of Martin's wonderful coffees, enjoyed hearing the other musicians play and got to play a few tunes himself too.

Well, THE BLUE BOTTLE CAFE's in Yelm is gone. No music there.

Steve went by CLARK's BAR AND GRILL at the Tahoma Valley Golf Course in Yelm a few times this week folks...A Big ZERO, no cars in the parking lot or anything. What happened? Where are those guys? We haven't heard anything for two weeks now. If anyone knows...give me a call and I'll [Jan] post it. So, no music there.

Next...SHELLY ELY's JAM's tonight [Sunday] 10/31 at UNCLE SAM's BAR AND GRILL in Spanaway. Yeah! Music starts around 7 pm gos until 10 pm. She said on FACEBOOK that TERRY JAE/bass and DYLAN LANNY ENGLAND/drums will be there. JHO BLENIS/guitar is a maybe..he was not feeling well eariler this week...[he said on FACEBOOK] and Shell didn't say if he'd be there. Shelly always has great players at her jam. Now, remember this next Thursday night too at UNCLE SAM's BAR AND GRILL... 7 pm for THE JERRY MILLER BAND. O.K.,...Lots of things to talk about this time in my local live music news report. First, what is local to me [Jan]. Well, for starts I thought...South Tacoma, Spanaway, Graham, Roy, McKenna, Yelm, Rainier, Tenino, Lacey, Tumwater.... etc.....I will adjust this area as time gos on to fit the great live music reported in the area that we can get to in a reasonable amount of time.

First, In Yelm, THE BLUE BOTTLE CAFE's Farewell closing party was Saturday, Oct. 23rd at 7 pm. We love MICHELLE JONES and her whole family and wish them the best in whatever they do next. From STEVE KLEIN's 'YELM COMMUNITY BLOG' we have learned that The Blue Bottle was bought by a Pizzeria. We'll watch for any updates and new news about this.
Next, CLARK's BAR AND GRILL in Yelm. Steve went by there last night...Monday, Oct. 25th, 'round 7 pm and found no one there! What? So, I called 360/458-3332 this morning...there was zero answer. I'd call CLARK's BAR AND GRILL before leaving home if I were you...I'm sure all is well and they're having a great vacation on some tropical island somewhere warm.
Next, KENNY WILLIAMSON reports that THE SHELLY ELY JAM at UNCLE SAM's BAR AND GRILL went great last Sunday night..Oct. 24th, in Spanaway. Kenny WilliamSon was drumming for DYLAN LANNY ENGLAND, who had the night off. This is always a fun jam folks, with talented musicians. Remember, Sunday night 7 pm be at Uncle Sam's at Shelly's jam for awesome live music. Kenny will keep me updated on where etc. he's playing too... I'll let you all know.

LIQUID SOUL COFFEE ROASTERS in McKenna. On the 16th of this month THE MARTIN SALINAS BAND played at Liquid Soul. Looks like they're playing there again on November 6th at 8 pm. Hope it's a great gig. [confirming the members of this band and will post it as soon as I get this info.]. Usually, but not always, there's a $5.00 cover at Liquid Soul...but, it's well worth that to hear some really fine music. Call...360/400-soul to find out and I'll post all the information I confirm. They are located in McKenna behind BAYDOS at the McKenna 'Y'.

O.K.,well, 'My Dirty Laundry' I've been saving this one for last because it's difficult to talk about and about me and Steve BARTLETT ON BASS and the band WALTER's BIRTHDAY. that Steve's a member. But, it's local music news...So, here gos.. Our trusted and very brave friend, SCOTT ERCOLIANI/drummer for WALTER's BIRTHDAY contacted me [Jan] last week about, in his opinion, my abundance of postings about WALTER's BIRTHDAY online. I realized that he brought up some good points, that I'd never thought of. [view Emails HERE and HERE]. I HAD spent a hole lot of time posting. But, I thought that's what everyone wanted. WHOOPS. So, in my willingness to immediately comply...I deleted, blocked or erased all the posts I could find as fast as possible about WALTER's BIRTHDAY and started to cry....then waited to know what to do next. It didn't take long...in about 20 minutes. My hero, MARTIN SALINAS of Liquid Soul Coffee Roasters noticed and called Scott Ercoliani...'was the recently booked WALTER's BIRTHDAY in Concert on Saturday, November 13th 8 pm canceled?' NO!! The gig has NOT been canceled....... just Jan's posts. [NOTE: I have recently re-posted an edited copy of that gig's announcement online....it's gonna be fantastic. [my... 'JAN's OPINION!!]. Well, this has been an eventful week for local music in my Yelm home and the surrounding areas.

1. First, the sad music news reported on 10/10 by Michael Joseph, a farewell party will be held at THE BLUE BOTTLE in Yelm on 10/23. There has been no new postings on THE BLUE BOTTLE CAFE for quite awhile. The Blue Bottle's address is 309 Yelm Ave East, phone is 360/458-4611. So, now I've had the news from owner Michele Jones, I was wishing this news was not true. But, it's true.
2. Kenny WilliamSon contacted me several times this week, telling me that he or his band 'The Kenny WilliamSon Band' maybe playing at CLARK's BAR AND GRILL at the Tehoma Golf Course in Yelm on 10/25. [NOTE:Just in: Sorry to say Kenny will NOT be at Clark's on the 25th] Address 15425 Moseman Ave. S.W. ,phone 360/458-3332. The details are being worked out with Clark's owner Steve....10/15--New News: Kenny will NOT be playing at Clark's this Saturday, 10/16, or 10/25th as he reported eariler. But good news.... he'll be at UNCLE SAM's that's 7 pm, in Spanaway on 10/24, filling in for drummer Dylan Lanny England, so go to Uncle Sam's to enjoy Kenny's great drumming, we'll miss you in Yelm this week Kenny. Have a great day off Dylan. We love your drumming too Dylan.
3. Musician, Eric Delome of BLUE WAVE' reports on FACEBOOK that his wonderful birthday party was due all to the kindness of Martin and Barb Salinas.."THANKS FOR YOUR LOVE and All The Wonderful Music around You. The music is the sound of The LIFE. I WISH YOU SUCCES and JOY. YOURS Eric" . 'Happy Birthday, Eric!'. And, thank you Martin and Barb, owners of LIQUID SOUL.
Sounds like Eric had a great time last week  at LIQUID SOUL COFFEE ROASTERS. There was birthday cake [Barb's a great cook], a great jam with no cover too.  Cool. "There were some folks with standing room only" states Martin, so Martin wants to do it again! Yay Martin!
So, THE MARTIN SALINAS BAND [I am checking on this bands' members.. Martin, Eric and  more...have sent notes to Eric, Martin and Barb...sure I'll hear before Saturday, 10/16..and I will post it].The Martin Salinas Band will be playing this Saturday at LIQUID SOUL COFFEE ROASTERS. The band was confirmed on Martin and Barb's Liquid Soul Web Site. and Martin's FACEBOOK page too, but, not members of the band. Liquid Soul does not say if there will be a cover or cake, but it's only a $5.00 cover, if there is any., so no problem. Music starts at 8pm this Saturday, 10/16 at Liquid Soul. NOTE: Saturday,10/16.. Sadly, I'm unable to find out/confirm band members...please call Liquid Soul for information. Address and phone above. Oh, I almost forgot, Liquid Soul has an open mic tonight ..Thursday at 6 pm. So, musicians bring your axe. Let's keep live music happening in this area.
4. Lot's happening at UNCLE SAM's BAR AND GRILL in Spanaway this week. Last Sunday, 10/10 Shelly Ely hosted a Benefit for Craig and Kathy at Uncle Sam's. Shelly reports it was very sucessful. Great. We really enjoy Uncle Sam's Bar and Grill. Lots of musicians, playing every week. Address: 16003 Pacific Ave. Spanaway WA. 253-507-7808. Music was all day long and several bands played last Sunday. Wish we could have been there. Soon.
The famous guitarist, JERRY MILLER [Moby Grape] plays every Thursday night at 7 pm at Uncle Sam's.... That's TONIGHT! What a treat, and, THE SHELLY ELY JAM starts at 7 pm every Sunday night. Next jam this Sunday 10/17. With SHELLY ELY/vocals and DYLAN LANNY ENGLAND/drummer and  more folks too. They both keep me updated on FACEBOOK. They're fantastic and both are at Uncle Sam's each Sunday. Wow. Get your axe, go to Uncle Sam's Bar And Grill 7 pm to 10ish on Sundays and have a really good time with other very talented musicians.

I am disabled and once was an artist.In 1994 was diagnosed with Anorexia Nervosa --It took several years for me to learn to enjoy food and eating and knowing 'I'm more than a size'.
This is now my artwork. Enjoy. Now I use 1 finger on one hand to type. My husband helps me get on the computer each day. Enjoy my artwork .
