First posted on BARTLETT ON BASS...Go there for links. Jan
--------------------------
This week's been something. But, first let's talk live music for the week starting Nov. 15th...shall we?
--------------

Number One on our list:... CLARK's BAR AND GRILL in Yelm...well, let's take them right off our list...they're outta here. What happened?? Don't know. It's locked and sad, and no one around, third week now. We'll keep our eyes peeled for ANY movement at all...and will let you know if we see ANYTHING. There...one down.
------
NOW, Next...Number two....Let's go to UNCLE SAM's BAR AND GRILL in Spanaway. OK? Dependable, SHELLY ELY JAM is on TONIGHT...Sunday Nov. 14th...7 pm. I see DYLAN LANNY ENGLAND will be on the drums, with Shell's powerful vocals and I bet, TERRY JAE/bass AND who's on guitar? Perhaps Jho or Jerry? Shelly didn't say....it'll be a great line up...always is. I recommend the SHELLY ELY JAM on Sundays at UNCLE SAM's. They're on Pacific Ave in Spanaway.
Now, on Thursday night's go see THE JERRY MILLER BAND at UNCLE SAMS. Start time 7 pm. Members of that band are Jerry Miller/guitar, Denny Foreman/guitar, Dave Erwin/bass, Jeff Wallace/keyboard/violin, Allen Heath/drums, and Russ Harris/congas/harp. Confirmed by phone.
----------------
I'm looking up events @ THE GOVENROR's GRILL today in Olympia to check on THE JOHN SCOOCH CUGNO TRIO. They play there on Saturday's 6:30 to 9:30. It's a new dinner club right in Olympia. Cool. Now, Scooch is wonderful and members of his trio are Brad Gould/harmonica and Gary Elsey/bass.... This would be a great night out. 621 Capitol Way South, Olympia, WA 98501-1205,(360) 956-9999. Confirmed by computer, link above.
--------------
LIQUID SOUL COFFEE ROASTER's in McKenna has an OPEN MIC each week on Thursdays, 6 pm. Bring your axe,,,all levels of players welcome and a fun time.
NEXT Saturday,on November 20th, Martin has AN ELECTRIC JAM posted. That'll be fun. Have not heard who'll be at the gig. Martin's a busy man... BUT,it'll be fun. NO COVER.. starts at 8 pm... Call 360/400-soul if you need more info. about the band. All ages are always welcome at LIQUID SOUL. I[Jan's Opinion] DO believe they have the very best fresh roasted coffee around. I love the Sumantra.

My STEVE BARTLETT was too busy this week to check out new places to hear some great live music in the area. It's getting kinda nippy outside...he had to chop and collect some firewood. Rehearsal was on Wednesday with the band. He had a great time too. Cool. The LIQUID SOUL /WALTER's BIRTHDAY Gig last night [Nov. 13th] was fantastic...a good crowd reported Steve.
